Objective of the study is to analyze the physical fitness of the population of the federal districts of the Russian Federation from 6 to 70 years and older based on statistical reporting in order to fulfill the state requirements of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex (GTO) for 2024.
Methods and structure of the study. The following methods were used: sociological, study and analysis of federal statistical reporting of all constituent entities of the Russian Federation, observation, comparison, mathematical and statistical processing of the obtained results. The studies were conducted at the Federal Scientific Center for Physical Culture and Sports and the Scientific and Methodological Center for the Implementation of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex (GTO) Ready for Labor and Defense of the Smolensk State Sports University, which have been monitoring the implementation of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex (GTO) in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation since 2017 as part of the scientific and methodological support of the industry.
Results and conclusions. In 2024, the contingent of the population in the country who have fulfilled the standards of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex GTO tests for distinctions is 1.88% and the share of such persons increases annually, demonstrating an increase during the school age period and a decrease in the adult population.
Analysis of the physical fitness of the population of the Russian Federation from 6 to 70 years and older, according to the results of fulfilling the standards of tests of the GTO complex, gave an idea of ​​​​which federal districts (hereinafter FD), relative to the number of people living in it, have the highest percentage of those who fulfilled the standards of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex GTO for distinctions in 2024, and where there is a low percentage of those who fulfilled such requirements.
