The influence of physical education classes on the formation of moral behavior and the development of spiritual qualities in adolescents

Objective of the study is to evaluate the impact of physical education classes on the formation of moral behavior and the development of spiritual qualities in adolescents.
Methods and structure of the study. To achieve the objectives, a comprehensive study was organized, which used the following methods: questionnaires, pedagogical observation, comparative analysis and statistical processing of data. The study was conducted during the school year among 160 students aged 10-14 from three schools in Rostov-on-Don, divided into control and experimental groups.
Results and conclusions. The study shows a significant positive correlation between systematic physical education and improvement of spiritual and behavioural qualities of adolescents. The study found that regular physical education and sports are associated with a decrease in aggression by 27%, an increase in honesty rates by 26%, as well as an improvement in overall performance. The most pronounced effect was observed when practising team sports, which contribute to the development of collectivism and a sense of responsibility.
