Objective of the study is to identify the features of psychomotor development of adolescents with cerebral palsy, involved and not involved in adaptive sports.
Methods and structure of the study. The scientific work, which was conducted in November 2024, involved 20 adolescents with cerebral palsy aged 12-14 (10 sledge hockey players of the CSKA team and 10 students of the State Budgetary Educational Institution "Boarding School No. 17", Moscow). All respondents had a diagnosis of spastic diplegia, intelligence was preserved. To assess the level of psychomotor development of adolescents with cerebral palsy, involved and not involved in sports, the following indicators were studied: reaction time to light, reaction time to sound, choice reaction time, RDO, duration of an individual minute, tapping test. The hardware and software complex "PsychoTest" was used.
Results and conclusions. It was found that sledge hockey has a positive effect on the psychomotor development of adolescents with cerebral palsy, contributing to the improvement of their psychoemotional health. Athletes with cerebral palsy have a higher level of ability to regulate their actions based on the information they receive and concentration in comparison with their peers, the productive quality of their nervous system is higher, and their psychological state is much closer to that of their normotypic peers.
Keywords: psychomotor skills, motor reaction time, tapping test, adolescents with cerebral palsy, adaptive sports, sledge hockey.
