Objective of the study is to study the structure and content of physical training of young kickboxers at the initial stage of sports training.
Methods and structure of the study. The method of analyzing data from scientific and methodological literature was used.
Results and conclusions. The analysis of the organization and content of physical training of young athletes at the initial stage of sports training revealed the following: the long-term system of training in kickboxing includes preparatory, competitive and transitional stages. In the training process of young kickboxers, no urgent need for dividing periods was found, since the main emphasis is on improving overall physical fitness, and there are few competitions; differences in the organization and content of kickboxers' training at the initial stage were recorded, depending on the duration of training (up to a year or more). However, the parameters of physical activity vary for young athletes with different experience at this stage of training.
