The purpose of the study is to improve the process of physical education of schoolchildren on the basis of the software (software) "Talented Children".
Methodology and organization of the study. In recent years, the issues of health preservation, increasing physical activity, forming physical education independence, improving the level of health and physical fitness of schoolchildren have become increasingly relevant.
To find ways to improve the process of physical education for schoolchildren, as well as to increase the motivational and value-based attitude towards physical culture, the software "Talented Children" [1] was developed, which aims to quickly identify the level of physical fitness (PF) of students and assign them to groups based on cluster analysis of data.
The developed program was tested in the second quarter of the 2024-2025 academic year, involving 228 middle school students from a public school in Cheboksary.
Results and their discussion. The students' physical fitness indicators obtained during the control tests provided for in the curriculum and the work program were processed in the software. The results of data processing were communicated to all participants, allowing them to recommend students with a high level of physical fitness (29.8%) to undergo additional testing for sports selection and sports-oriented education. For students with average (55.3%) and low levels of physical fitness (14.9%), additional classes were recommended based on individual health programs to achieve the necessary level of physical development.
In addition to its direct purpose, the developed software had an indirect effect: it increased motivation for physical education by promoting healthy competition in achieving high physical fitness test scores. This was reflected in the performance of students in the third quarter, where the number of students with high physical fitness levels (33.3%) increased, while the number of students with low levels (11%) slightly decreased.
Conclusions. The use of the software "Talented Children" ensures the distribution of students into groups based on their level of physical development. Consequently, students with a high level of physical development can continue their studies in sports-oriented groups, while those with an average or low level can join general-preparation groups focused on health preservation [2]. This contributes to the improvement of the physical education process at school and enhances students' motivation and value for physical culture.
