Objective of the study is to identify the features of functional adaptation of the body of children with cerebral palsy when performing physical activity using exercise equipment in rehabilitation classes.
Methods and structure of the study. The study involved children of primary school age with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy. For them, simulators and various types of physical activity were used, which make up the rehabilitation training program. In the course of the work, 211 measurements of heart rate (HR) were carried out using a Polar RS 800 chest heart rate monitor during one session.
Results and conclusions. The highest average heart rate is observed when performing "Jumps" at all levels: in children of levels I and II (135±13.3 beats /min), in children of level III (142±14.6 beats/min), performed independently or using a "Gross Simulator", and in groups IV-V – (139 ±8.2 beats/min), carried out only on the "Gross Simulator". The maximum heart rate values were observed in children of levels I and II in the range (166 – 85) beats/min. The highest heart rate was recorded in children of level III in the exercise "Jumping independently or on the Gross Simulator" – 142±14.6 beats/min, as well as on the "Ellipse Simulator" – 134±5.2 beats/min; in children of level I and II – when performing "Kneeling on the Gross Simulator" – 138±8.7 beats/min. The experimental data obtained are of considerable interest for understanding the functioning of the body of a child with disabilities when using simulators.
