Objective of the study to determine the effectiveness of testing within the framework of the WFSKGTO as a means of increasing students' interest in physical education and sports.
Methods and structure of the study. The study was organized on the basis of Belgorod State National Research University. It was attended by girls and boys of the 1st and 2nd years of study, who were engaged in physical education only in classes at the university. Additionally, they did not attend classes in other places. In total, about 1,000 students participated. The results of the students who enrolled in 2018-2021 were analyzed. To encourage students to exercise regularly, it is advisable to use a set of physical exercises of the VFSKGTO.
Results and conclusions. Performing exercises within the framework of the WFSKGTO makes it possible not only to stimulate young people to engage in physical education, but also to monitor the dynamics of physical fitness and the development of physical qualities. A survey conducted among students shows that interest in physical education has grown. Young people are interested in further studies and achieving high results. At the same time, they are ready for additional physical education classes. And classes, in their opinion, should cover a wide range of exercises that provide comprehensive physical development.
