Objective of the study is to identify the key vectors of modern scientific research, reflected in the section "Physical activity of the population" of the journal Theory and Practice of Physical Culture. To achieve this goal, an analysis of the publication activity of scientists for the period from 2020 to 2024 will be carried out.
Methods and structure of the study. The content analysis method was used using the MAXQDA Analytics Pro program and the capabilities of MS Excel.
Results and conclusions. The study analyzed 195 scientific articles covering a wide range of issues related to human physical activity. The authors of these articles are both internationally recognized scientists and young researchers from leading and regional universities and scientific institutions. An analysis of the proportion of articles devoted to this topic in relation to the total number of full-text publications revealed a trend towards an increase in the number of papers by 2022. This growth can be explained by the urgency of finding new ways to develop physical culture and recreation activities of the population in the post-pandemic period. In addition, there has been an increase in research attention to the use of digital technologies, which has subsequently developed into an independent field of research.
