Introduction. Modern tennis is characterized by new requirements for the training of athletes, the leaders of the world tennis make more than 2000 hits per match [1]. During the execution of each hit, the tennis player makes one force compression of the handle of the racket, which affects the elastic-rigid system of the hand. The grip of the racket is the most important element of the chain in the transfer of the total momentum of force to the ball, and it is the grip that regulates the accuracy of the strike by the rigidity of the strike system. However, there is no information in the scientific and methodological literature about the methodology and technique of correcting the hand work when teaching tennis players the grip of the racket.
The purpose of the study is to develop and experimentally substantiate a methodology for correcting the speed and force characteristics of hand work when holding the racket with different grips.
Research methodology and organization. To achieve the set goal, a technique for correcting the speed-strength characteristics of hand operation when holding a racket with different grips was developed. To test its effectiveness, a parallel pedagogical experiment was conducted (from 01.10.2023 to 01.10.2024), in which 26 qualified Russian tennis players participated. The tennis players were randomly divided into two groups of 13: the control group (CG) and the experimental group (EG). The training process in the control group was conducted according to the federal standard for training in the sport of tennis, while in the experimental group, it was conducted using the developed method for correcting the speed and force characteristics of hand movements when holding a racket with different grips.
The speed and force characteristics of hand movements were assessed using the dynamometry method in both groups before and after the experiment.
Research results and their discussion. The developed method of correcting the speed-strength characteristics of hand operation when holding a racket with different grips included three sets of exercises: a set of means aimed at correcting the grip of a racket of qualified tennis players based on the analysis of the speed-strength characteristics of hand operation using the TASS dynamometer handle; a set of means aimed at correcting the grip of a racket of qualified tennis players when performing shots on the ball on the court; The special physical training complex was aimed at correcting the grip of tennis rackets.
Conclusion. Based on the obtained dynamometry indicators, a template of speed-force characteristics of hand work was created for each tennis player in order to individually correct the technique of four grip of the racket. When comparing the results in the groups after the pedagogical experiment, no significant differences were revealed (p˃0.05). However, after applying the developed methodology, the speed-strength characteristics of the hand movements increased in the EG group, compared to the results before the experiment, while the performance of the CG group did not show significant differences before and after the experiment.
