Development of social resilience of cadets of the University of State Fire Service of the Ministry of EMERCOM of Russia with the use of aerobic training

Objective of the study aims to determine the combined effects of a competitive team approach and aerobic exercise on improving social adaptability in underachieving cadets during physical training.
Methods and structure of the study. The study involved two groups of cadets from the St. Petersburg University of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia: a control group (25 people) and an experimental group (25 people). In the control group, classes were held according to the standard methodology provided for by the physical training program. In the experimental group, training was conducted according to the same program, but using the developed methodology. In the experimental group, the proposed aerobic training methodology was implemented in the final part of the main lesson. It included alternating three‑minute running with applied gymnastics exercises: push‑ups, body lifts from a lying position, complex strength exercises and leg lifts from a supine position. During the pedagogical observation, the parameters of social maturity, the functional state of the body and the level of physical fitness were analyzed.
Results and conclusions. Inclusion of aerobic gymnastic exercises of practical importance in the training process for high‑speed movement and track and field helps to increase the functional potential of trainees. Performing gymnastic movements in an aerobic format has a beneficial effect on improving the functional status of the cardiovascular system. The introduction of aerobic training methodology into the educational process helps to form a mechanism of social adaptation that stabilizes the psycho‑emotional state in educational and social activity of cadets with low academic performance.
