Objective of the study is aimed at identifying the specifics of the formation of physical fitness and social skills in adolescents who have problems with the musculoskeletal system, but regularly engage in sports activities.
Methods and structure of the study. During the 2023-2024 academic year, an experimental study was conducted in specialized boarding schools in Ulyanovsk for children with special needs. The study involved young men diagnosed with cerebral palsy between the ages of 14 and 16. Students who regularly attend sports training (swimming and athletics) at the sports adaptive school made up an experimental group of 74 people. The control group, consisting of 78 people, was formed from students engaged in adaptive physical education as part of the boarding school curriculum.
Results and conclusions. Regular sports exercises have a significant beneficial effect on the physical and social development of adolescents with musculoskeletal problems. The integration of systematic training and purposeful educational work helps to activate and accelerate the processes of physical adaptation and social maturity in adolescents with cerebral palsy. This approach allows them to be involved in the transfer of accumulated social experience from one generation to another in order to stimulate the formation of their individual life position.
