Objective of the study is to determine the functionality of adaptive physical education in the formation of an inclusive culture of students.
Methods and structure of the study. The work was performed using the methods of analyzing scientific and methodological literature, author's questionnaires, generalization and systematization of the data obtained, modeling, quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Results and conclusions. The authors describe the innovative algorithm and its areas such as educational, sports and recreational, scientific and volunteer. A summary of the construction of physical education classes on an inclusive basis is described, where, with the help of individual and differentiated approaches, the organization of motor activity of all participants in the educational process is implemented. It also describes the functionality of sports and recreational activities, and provides a list of sports disciplines used. When describing the functionality of scientific work, the directions of research activities affecting the problems of motor rehabilitation of children with intellectual disabilities are indicated. The great functionality of volunteer work is emphasized, where students act as assistants in adaptive physical education classes with mentally retarded children. As an evidence base for the effectiveness of the development of the innovation process, data from a survey of students of medical universities in the Southern Federal District on indicators of the formation of inclusion are presented. They demonstrate a positive trend in the attitude of the subjects towards inclusion activities and people with disabilities. The results of the study substantiate the possibility of using the presented algorithm in the practice of other higher educational institutions.
