Objective of the study is aimed at experimental confirmation of the effectiveness of an approach to individual and group training of qualified junior wrestlers based on extrapolation of motor skills.

Methods and structure of the study. An experimental study involving 32 young Greco-Roman wrestlers was carried out in the Ulyanovsk region. In the course of the work, a set of research approaches was applied, including the study of specialized literature, analysis of video recordings of competitions, psychophysiological diagnostics, expert assessment, pedagogical experiment and data processing using mathematical statistics methods. The study, covering the period from September 2022 to January 2025, was divided into two stages: the initial (ascertaining) and the main (forming).
Results and conclusions. The ascertaining stage allowed us to determine the means and methods for developing the experimental methodology, and to determine the control and experimental groups. At the formative stage, the specifics were revealed and the effectiveness of the methodology of individual and group training of qualified junior wrestlers based on extrapolation of motor actions was determined. A higher level of growth in the indicators of special physical and psychophysiological readiness, sports performance was obtained among the participants of the experimental group, compared with the subjects of the control group. A direct linear correlation was established between the indicators of sports performance and psychophysiological readiness of junior wrestlers at the stage of improving sports skills. Thus, the means and methods for developing the ability to extrapolate motor actions were reflected in the individual and group training of qualified junior wrestlers.

Keywords: extrapolation of motor skill, Greco-Roman wrestling, psychophysiological parameters, technical and tactical readiness.
