The purpose of the study is to examine the meanings of sports culture as a form of expression of the national cultural code in sports.
Methodology and organization of research. Based on the philosophical method of ascending from the abstract to the concrete, the properties, concepts and characteristics of the phenomena "national cultural code in sports" and "sports culture" are described.  The scientific source base hosted on the platform was used as information content. elibrary.ru .
Research results and conclusions. The cultural code, which is based on the values, symbols and norms of sports culture, allows us to remove the contradictions of the individual and society, old and new, our own and others, normative and situational. Sports culture, expressed in its own codes, appears as a communication translator that provides human feedback to the environment of the sports world, while preserving the national historical memory fund.
