Objective of the study was to develop and theoretically substantiate a system for selecting physical education instructors based on a multi-paradigm approach.
Methods and structure of the study. To organize the study, 14 educational psychologists, 16 directors of childrens camps and 17 instructors-methodologists in physical education and sports with successful experience of professional activity of over 10 years and experience in selection of teaching staff were invited. With their help, a survey was conducted to find deficiencies in the process of selection of physical education instructors in childrens health camps, pedagogical expertise to identify professionally significant personal qualities for this category of teaching staff. For the theoretical definition of important personal qualities of physical education instructors, a polyparadigmatic approach is proposed, with the help of which a differentiation of types of childrens recreation and health camps (according to regulatory documents) is carried out with the establishment of a priority paradigm of the educational process in them.
Results and conclusions. The analysis of types of childrens health camps was carried out, highlighting the leading paradigm of education in each of them. Based on the pedagogical examination, the following were determined: a) the required personal qualities for any type of health camp: motivational and activity-based (dedication, attitude to working with children, sociability), organizational and analytical (responsibility, discipline, leadership), emotional and value-based (kindness, emotional stability, tolerance); b) special personal qualities in accordance with the type of camp: specialized camps - curiosity and erudition; labor camp - hard work and exactingness; city camps - enterprise and flexibility; tent camps - endurance and adaptability; theme camps - creativity and mobility, sanatorium-type camps - sensitivity and caring. The assessment of personal qualities was carried out using psychological tests. The first experience of using the developed professionally significant personal qualities was successful, as evidenced by the satisfaction of all interested parties with the work of instructors.
