Introduction. The priority of personnel in the comprehensive implementation of the National Project "Sport is the norm of life" is focused on improving the quality of life of the population [2]. Therefore, it is important to monitor the number of physical education and sports workers in order to justify and modernize personnel and educational policies in this industry [3].
The purpose of the study is to identify trends in the state of the human resources potential of physical education and sports specialists in order to improve personnel and educational policy.
Methodology and organization of research. The analysis, systematization, comparison and generalization of information and analytical materials based on the results of monitoring the quantitative and qualitative composition of personnel in the field of physical culture and sports according to criteria such as quantitative composition, age, gender, level of education, number of vacancies based on a comprehensive analysis of scientific and statistical sources of information.
The results of the study and their discussion. Monitoring the number of full-time employees of physical culture and sports allows us to assess the current state and predict the prospects for training specialists for this industry [1]. An analysis of the level of secondary and higher education of specialists shows that more than three times of them have higher education. Only 1.00% of specialists in the field of physical culture and sports have an academic degree. At the same time, 89.1% of specialists in higher education institutions have higher education, of which 21.59% have an academic degree, which is significantly higher than the average.
Considering the age groups in three ranges: under 30 years old, 31-60 years old and over 60 years old, the following distribution of employees was revealed, respectively: 25.6%, 65.08% and 9.33%. It was found that young people prefer to work in fitness clubs (49.44%). The average number of personnel under 30 years of age is lower in professional (19.69%) and higher education organizations (14.12%). At the same time, 14.25% and 16.17% of them are over 60 years old, respectively. It should be noted that the industry has 2.27% of vacancies, in addition, about 10% of employees are over the age of 60. Therefore, it is these organizations that should focus on attracting young people as a personnel policy.
Conclusions. The monitoring of the staff of full-time physical education and sports workers made it possible to identify existing problems, identify prospects and further ways to train specialists for the physical education and sports industry.
