Objective of the study was to develop, implement and experimentally identify the effectiveness of using static exercises in physical education classes to optimize the working position of future architects.
Methods and structure of the study. The pedagogical experiment involved 70 female students majoring in architecture. The study was based on a biometric analysis of the sitting working posture and the elastic properties of the postural muscles of future architects when working on a drawing.
Results and conclusions. Adequate use of strength training tools allowed to increase the static endurance of late muscles and have a positive effect on stabilizing the working position of female architecture students in a sitting position. The students began to pay attention to their working position 11% more often, used more comfortable furniture and moved the easel further from the visual analyzer. All this can further lead to an increase in the efficiency of work operations and labor productivity.
