Objective of the study was to identify the dynamics of physical fitness indicators of university students during their training in the volleyball section.
Methods and structure of the study. To implement the study, 32 clinically healthy university students were collected. Standard tests were used with the calculation of the Student criterion on their results.
Results and conclusions. Students who started volleyball training initially had low physical capabilities. As the length of volleyball training increased, the students showed improvement in the results of all tests. After nine months of training, volleyball players demonstrated the highest results in all physical ability tests. Regular long-term training in the volleyball section makes it possible to achieve significant progress in the level of students physical capabilities, stimulating the reserves of their internal organs, which contributes to the growth of their intellectual potential. The achieved effects contribute to increasing the effectiveness of their learning process at the university and thereby improve the quality of training future professionals in their field, capable of long-term fruitful work.
