Political identity and its features of education in the educational process using distance learning technologies in the field of physical education and sports

Objective of the study was to develop the content of a distance learning course on developing the political identity of students at a sports university.
Methods and structure of the study. The pedagogical experiment was conducted at the National State University of Physical Education, Sports and Health named after P.F. Lesgaft. To achieve the set goal, the working programs of distance courses were updated by introducing topics that reveal the historical and cultural heritage of Rus, the USSR and Russia with a detailed and objective presentation of historical facts and political events (within the framework of a sports university - political «near-sports games»).
Results and conclusions. Inclusion of topics devoted to the study of important historical facts of Russia, personalities (including sports) in the distance learning program allows to increase the level of political identity of students as citizens of Russia. The use of the distance learning format allows to expand the information content of theoretical material, as well as teaching methods, giving them an interactive, productive character.
