Introduction. In the current geopolitical situation, the intellectual, defensive and labor potential of young people is becoming a priority for the country's development strategy. Stable formation of human capital is seen in the implementation of physical culture and sports education of students [1, 2]. Due to the fact that the most effective approach to improving sports activities in higher education institutions is the functioning of a sports club, monitoring its development will create an ecosystem of sustainable interaction with strong feedback between students, teachers and university management to address issues of youth policy in the Russian Federation.
The purpose of the study is to study the dynamics of the development of a sports club in a higher educational institution.
Methodology and organization of research. At the first stage of the study, a model of a sports club was created and implemented based on the results of a survey of students and university teachers. The second stage consisted of an assessment of the effectiveness of the sports club's activities at the stages of creation and formation according to 15 objective criteria and a comparative analysis of the results of a sociological survey of 502 respondents in the period 2022-2024. Mathematical data analysis was performed using the MATLAB program.
The results of the study and their discussion. The model of the sports club formation is focused on creating an accessible and effective platform for managing student sports [2]; it is aimed at attracting students who are actively involved in sports, as well as their integration into sports activities together with university teachers and staff.
During the first year of operation, the Dostoevsky Sports Club showed the growth and development of the university's sports life. It is worth noting the increase in the number of sports teams from 17 to 22; commercial sports sections from 9 to 12; sports facilities from 7 to 10; students who regularly attend university sections from 153 to 207; university teachers and staff involved in the sports facilities of the club, from 31 to 58; coaches from 7 to 12; mass sports events from 17 to 28; sports events with the participation of the rector from 8 to 10; All-Russian competitions involving OmSU national teams from 3 to 8; types of physical culture and sports activities in the Rector's Cup program from 16 to 18; teams participating in Rector's Cup competitions from 64 to 95; university entrants from 52 to 69. The most visited sports facilities were the swimming pool, wrestling, kickboxing and crossfit halls.
An increase in the number of girls interested in physical activity was determined – the increase in the indicator was 280; the total number of students was 358. As part of the strategy of adapting to the new educational environment, we have included junior students in the club's work: the figures increased from 62 to 189 people in the first year, from 20 to 174 in the second. It is worth noting that the undergraduates began to interact with the club more qualitatively than at the stage of creation, they are the leaders of the national teams of SC Dostoevsky and mentors of young athletes.
An increase in the number of students who regularly engage in physical education and sports at the university was revealed – 73%. The results of the assessment of motivation for classes highlighted the dominant criteria: health promotion, improvement of strength characteristics and aesthetic component. Feedback indicated the need to open new sections: lawn tennis, shooting, cycling, dancing, rock climbing and water polo.
Conclusion. The establishment of a sports club and the positive attitude of the university administration towards sports allowed students to combine the training and academic process. The study revealed the strengthening of corporate culture due to the regular joint activities of students, teachers, employees and university management in the framework of physical culture and sports events.
