Introduction. The recreational component of the sports culture of an individual as a subject of physical culture, sports and recreational activities is aimed at students' self-organization of leisure activities and rational optimization of the physical activity regime in order to meet individual recreational needs [1, 2].
The purpose of the study is to theoretically develop and experimentally substantiate the effectiveness of the methodology for the development of the recreational component of the sports culture of students' personality (hereinafter referred to as RCSCLS) in the process of integrating physical culture, sports and recreational activities.
Methodology and organization of research. The RCSCLS development methodology has been developed on the basis of a complex of physical culture, sports and wellness activities aimed at restoring the body's working capacity, physical condition, functional capabilities, disease prevention and satisfaction of recreational needs. The research methodology includes testing of the psychophysical state using computer technologies (diagnostic apparatus of the "Factor" system), which make it possible to assess the degree of recovery of the body's working capacity.
The results of the study and their discussion. At the beginning of the experiment, the subjects of EG and KG showed no statistically significant differences in the indicators of the level of development of RCSCLS. At the end of the experiment, the RCSCLS remained at an average level of development in KG. Whereas, in EG, RCSCLS has increased from an average to a high level of development according to the following assessment indicators: 1) value-oriented (positive attitude towards the values of recreational culture); 2) motivational-targeted (attitudes to meet recreational needs); 3) psychophysical (special exercises aimed at correcting the psychophysical state, physical conditions and functional capabilities); 4) recreational (individual program aimed at maintaining health and restoring the body); 5) physical culture and sports (means, methods of motor recreation); 6) performance evaluation (assessment of the effectiveness of recreational effects and practical recommendations for the dosage of physical activity).
Conclusions. Thus, the results of the study indicate the effectiveness of the RCSCLS development methodology, which expands the prospects for recreational research in the field of physical culture, sports and recreational activities of students involved in sports.
