Objective of the study was to identify changes in the morphofunctional indicators of foreign female students from Southeast Asian countries who are involved in physical education in a special medical group in the first years of study in comparison with Russian female students.
Methods and structure of the study. The research was conducted at the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia over a period of 2 years. The participants of the study were Russian female students and students from Southeast Asian countries. Morphofunctional changes were assessed by the following indicators: body mass index, chest excursion, wrist dynamometry, heart rate, blood pressure, pulse oximetry.
Results and conclusions. In the first year, female students from Southeast Asian countries showed significant differences in the decrease in the chest excursion indicator, compared to Russian female students, in the second year, changes in the body mass index indicator were added towards deterioration. In the second year, both Russian and foreign female students have an increased heart rate and orthostatic test values, and in girls from Southeast Asian countries, the saturation indicator decreases, which indicates an unfavorable prognosis for its adaptation. We consider it necessary to draw attention to the problem of deterioration of the adaptive capabilities of the body of foreign students of the special medical group.
