Introduction. The socio-psychological attitudes of athletes play an important role in shaping their behavior and reactions to achievements in sports. Readiness for change and the ability to adapt to it contribute to the development of an athlete's personality structure.

Research Objective — to identify the relationship between socio-psychological attitudes and personal readiness for achievements in athletes.

Methodology and Research Organization. The study used the methodology for diagnosing socio-psychological attitudes by O.F. Potemkina and the questionnaire "Personal Readiness for Change (Personal Change-Readiness Survey, PCRS)" by S. Rodnik, V. Hall, N. Heather, and R. Gold, adapted by N.A. Bazhanova and G.L. Bardier (2005).

Research Results and Discussion. The analysis of the obtained data revealed that the majority of the surveyed athletes have a low level of personal readiness, weak orientation towards egoism and power. The lowest scores were found on the "Tolerance for Ambiguity" scale. Correlation analysis did not reveal a specific pattern between the scales of the "Socio-Psychological Attitudes of the Individual" methodology and the "Personal Readiness for Change" methodology. However, statistically significant results were obtained between the scales of "adaptability" and "process orientation," "adaptability" and "work orientation," "adaptability" and "money orientation," as well as "confidence" and "power orientation." The correlation between the scales of "adaptability" and "process orientation," "adaptability" and "work orientation," and "confidence" and "power orientation" revealed a negative correlation, indicating that as one trait increases, the other decreases, or vice versa.

The lower the athlete's adaptive abilities, the higher their orientation towards the process. The same applies to the scales of "adaptability" and "work orientation." These correlations confirm that socio-psychological attitudes are interconnected with personal readiness for change in athletes. Additionally, relationships were found between the scales of "process orientation" and "result orientation."

Between the scales of "process orientation" and "result orientation," "process orientation" and "work orientation," there is a pronounced direct relationship, indicating that as one trait increases, the other also increases. In the case of the scales "process orientation" and "result orientation," it can be assumed that the more an athlete is oriented towards the process, the more they will be oriented towards the result.

Conclusion. Based on the relationship between the scales of "process orientation" and "work orientation," it can be concluded that socio-psychological attitudes are interconnected with personal readiness for change in athletes. An athlete's psychological readiness for achievement, as an internal functional complex state aimed at external behavior (activity) and ensuring it at the present moment, is inextricably linked, as indicators of personality, in the active phase of acceptance (readiness) and the implementation of successful behavior.
