Objective of the study was to conduct a retrospective analysis of the main directions of scientific research in dissertations in the field of physical culture and sports for 2022.
Results and conclusions. The article provides a quantitative analysis and presents the main directions of dissertation research in 2022 in our country in the field of physical culture and sports. It was established that dissertations in this area were defended in 8 branches of science and 17 scientific specialties. The distribution of these dissertations is presented in accordance with the main directions of scientific research - mass physical culture and mass sports, elite sports and training of sports reserves, the management system of physical culture and sports, as well as training, advanced training and retraining of personnel in the field of physical culture and sports . Dissertation works defended in accordance with the new nomenclature of scientific specialties for which academic degrees are awarded, introduced in 2021 in the Russian Federation, have been identified.
