The purpose of the study is to develop and substantiate the model characteristics of a qualified libero player in modern volleyball.
Methodology and organization of the study. The experiment was conducted in 2020-2023 on the basis of youth volleyball clubs of Super League teams that participate in the competitions of the Russian Championship and the Youth Cup. To substantiate the problem of training modern qualified libero players, an attempt was made to develop a model of a modern athlete based on the identification of factors using an intercorrelation analysis of the studied indicators of various aspects of preparedness.
The results of the study and their discussion. Factor analysis of correlations has determined the model of a qualified libero player in volleyball, which represents 75.8% of the contribution to the total amount of variance of technical, tactical, motor and psychophysiological characteristics. It is established that the technical and tactical component of the model of a qualified libero player in volleyball, according to the considered quantitative and qualitative characteristics of receiving the ball and playing defense, as well as indicators of technical readiness, is 30.5% of the total amount of variance. The second most important component for the formation of a model of a modern qualified libero player in volleyball is motor abilities (25.4% of the total amount of variance), which make it possible to successfully solve the problems of an athlete's movements in the playing space, depending on the speed, trajectory and direction of the ball, the movement of a teammate and an opponent. The third component defining the model of a modern qualified libero player in volleyball is psychophysiological abilities (19.6% of the total variance), which allow an athlete to quickly navigate the court, perform accurate and rational motor actions, as well as effectively manage them in various situations of confrontation with an opponent.
Conclusion. To achieve high competitive performance, the model of a modern qualified libero player in volleyball should include a complex interaction of three components - technical and tactical, motor and psychophysiological. Only by complementing each other, these components ensure the growth of the sportsmanship of qualified libero players in modern volleyball.
