Introduction. OFP in groups of sports specialization in sports is carried out in order to develop the necessary physical qualities. Classes are held mainly during the preparatory and transitional periods of preparation. In universities where there is no sports specialization, OFP classes are held during the academic year, followed by the passing of control standards [1].
The purpose of the study is to determine the basic physical qualities necessary for students and methods of testing them.
Methodology and organization of the study. To conduct the study, we used physical education classes at the P.G. Demidov YARSU. The methods of pedagogical observation, questioning and analysis of the acceptance of control standards determined the ways of preparing students.
The results of the study and their discussion. Based on the control standards that determine certain physical qualities of students, methods of preparation for their passing are recommended. The control standards should take into account the physical fitness of students at the time of classes, their state of health, the number of hours for preparation, etc.:
running 100 m, running 30-60 m segments, low start;
running 1000 m (d), 3000 m (m), running 5-8 km, 300-400 m segments (5-6 series);
pull-ups (m), flexion, extension of the arms lying down (e), performing exercises in light conditions (series 1/3 of the standard 5-6 times);
lifting the legs on the crossbar (m), lifting the body (e), performing a series of exercises (1/3 of the maximum 5-6 times);
The long jump from a standing position is a jumping exercise.
These standards are common in the practice of physical training and are quite informative.
Conclusion. The analysis of classes on OFP and the passing of control standards by students showed a positive effect of classes on the development of physical qualities in most students. We believe that 4-6 hours of classes per week are necessary for the physical improvement of students.
