Objective of the study was to study the performance indicators of the cardiovascular system of athletes involved in underwater sports, depending on their sports specialization.
Methods and structure of the study. Submarine athletes aged 18 to 25 years (30 women and 30 men) took part in the scientific work. All athletes were conditionally divided into three groups of 20 people (10 women and 10 men): group A – athletes specializing in sprint distances, group B – athletes specializing in stayer distances, group C – athletes specializing in underwater distances. The following methods were used in the work: the method of assessing morphofunctional indicators, the method of mathematical statistics.
Results and conclusions. Analysis of indicators of the cardiovascular system in women and men specializing in different disciplines of underwater sports revealed their high value regardless of specialization, which indicates pronounced adaptive mechanisms of blood circulation to training loads in all tested athletes. The cardiovascular system reacts sensitively to various influences, including strenuous physical activity, but the compensatory capabilities of the heart are not unlimited, and if this is not taken into account, you can get overexertion.

Keywords: submarine swimmers, training process, morphofunctional characteristics, sports specialization, cardiovascular system, sports discipline, heart rate, systolic blood pressure.
