Introduction. The importance of identifying the statokinetic stability of university students is due not only to the fact that it allows them to determine their ability to maintain spatial orientation in a vertical plane [4], due to the state of the vestibular apparatus [3], but also makes it possible to identify the psychophysiological state of the observed and timely diagnose the onset of neuroses [1].
The purpose of the study is to develop recommendations for improving the content of their physical education on the basis of determining the ability to preserve the SKU of students.
Methodology and organization of the study. Taking into account the formulated purpose of the study, its main methods were: analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature data, ascertaining experiment, mathematical processing of experimental data, interpretation of experimental results. The study was conducted on the basis of the Chuvash State University in October 2022-2023 academic year, which was attended by 78 students. The testing will be carried out after the introductory part of the lesson. To assess the state of the ICU, a variant of the "Romberg Test" was used standing on one leg [2].
The results and their discussion. The results of the conducted ascertaining experiment showed that only 3.85% of the test subjects had the studied indicator in accordance with the norm. At the same time, the arithmetic mean value for the group was 5.78± 0.56 s, which is almost three times lower than normal values. Taking into account the results obtained, we attempted to compare them in accordance with the law of normal distribution, also known as the Gauss curve f(x). As a result, it was revealed that its dome is significantly shifted horizontally towards the lowest values from the norm and somewhat elongated vertically, which indicates a slight variation in data. This suggests that the vast majority of students have a precancerous condition. Which may be caused by excessive intellectual and emotional stress, characteristic of educational activities at the university.
Conclusions. The conducted research indicates a deterioration in the functioning of the vestibular apparatus of students and the need to increase the volume of exercises aimed at the development of physical education in the practice of physical education of university students. Taking into account the specifics of educational activities peculiar to higher education, it is necessary to increase the share of recreational means in the content of physical education of students, ensuring the prevention of the onset of psychoemotional overstrain.
