Scientific cooperation: results of 20 years of work

Introduction. On February 16, 2024, the St. Petersburg Humanitarian University of Trade Unions traditionally hosted the XX The All-Russian scientific and practical conference "Physical culture and youth Health", which was attended by the teaching staff of higher educational institutions of St. Petersburg, other regions and cities of Russia and neighboring countries.
The first Vice-Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Economics, Professor L. A. Paseshnikova, addressed the participants of the conference with a welcoming speech, who noted the importance of the issues of the scientific forum, contributing to the formation of new pedagogical concepts for the preservation of youth health by means of physical culture and sports.
The editor-in-chief of the leading scientific journal "Theory and Practice of Physical Culture", Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences "GTSOLIFK" L. I. Lubysheva in her report on the topic "Professionally applied sports culture as a personal quality of a future specialist", emphasized the strengthening of the professionally applied orientation of the educational process in physical culture and, at the same time, the need to develop the methodology of sportization at the university.
Continuing the discussion, Professor A. A. Somkin of the St. Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television noted that professionally applied physical training of students should be selective, taking into account modern requirements for the professional competencies of future specialists.
The head of the Department of Physical Education of St. Petersburg State University, Associate Professor I. V. Sokolova in the report "Scientific and practical conference "Physical Culture and youth health: the results of 20 years of work" emphasized the important role of the department in organizing and holding the conference for many years, creating a discussion platform for the exchange of scientific results of research.
In his report, SPbSUP Professor A. S. Radchenko discussed the problems of natural and artificially modeled conditions of adaptive changes in the athlete's body. At the breakout sessions, the greatest discussion was caused by the reports of young scientists, graduate students of the Department of Physical Culture of Surgut State University.
Conclusions. The format of the scientific event made it possible to create a creative atmosphere for the exchange of scientific knowledge and best practices in the use of methods of physical culture and sports orientation, which will serve to further develop and improve the teaching of physical culture at all levels of education.
