Objective of the study was to theoretically substantiate the role of self-organization of sports coaches as an important component of their professional competence.
Methods and structure of the study. The research methodology is synergetics as a modern approach to scientific knowledge. It is associated with the formation of self-organization skills of sports coaches based on a synergetic approach, through the study and understanding of self-government processes in the context of coaching activities using the principles of this science.
Results and conclusions. The use of a synergetic approach from the position of qualitative improvement of the self-organization of a sports coach in an open didactic and training system allows us to draw the conclusion that self-management of one’s own growth of coaching skills in an educational and training environment, with its nonlinearity and uncertainty, leads to the properties of emergence and to the use of an integrated approach and taking into account the diversity factors that influence the functioning of this synergistic approach in such a system.
Thus, the self-organization of a coach as an important component of his professional competence directly contributes to the development of coaching skills. The higher the level of self-organization, the more successfully professional skills and abilities are improved. A person with a high level of self-organization is more adapted; he has a higher level of professional and coaching preparedness.
