Boxing classes in physical education of students with respiratory diseases

Introduction. Currently, the improvement of physical education of students of a special medical group is still an urgent educational task, aimed both at the physical improvement of this category of youth and at the formation of a variety of applied skills that will be in demand in future social, labor and social activities.
The purpose of the study is to develop sets of exercises based on boxing tools and adapt them to solve applied and health–improving and preventive tasks in physical education of students with respiratory diseases.
Methodology and organization of the study. Experimental work was carried out on the basis of the Siberian Federal University, Krasnoyarsk. The experimental sample consisted of 25 students with respiratory diseases (bronchitis, bronchial asthma, pneumonia). Students were asked to perform sets of exercises based on imitation of boxing movements to improve the overall functioning of the respiratory system.
The results of the study and their discussion. The table shows a set of exercises based on boxing tools for students with respiratory diseases.
All of the above exercises can be performed independently and systematically at home.
At the initial stage of this work, in a one-year cycle, students with respiratory diseases improved the remission process by a total of 21% (p=0.05) compared with the control group.
Conclusion. According to the study, exercises based on boxing tools can effectively stimulate metabolic processes, improve blood circulation, restore injured areas of the lungs, and prevent fibrosis of lung tissues. Experimental work continues, the results of the study will be presented in detail in the next issues of the journal.
