Objective of the study was to assess the adaptive capabilities of the circulatory system in terms of the influence of sports activities (volleyball) on male mental workers.
Methods and structure of the study. Mature men took part in the experiment and were divided into 3 groups (n=67). 1st – men who engage in physical exercise situationally, from time to time; 2nd – men involved in volleyball as a recreational physical activity; 3rd – men who play volleyball on a regular basis in a sports training mode, participating in competitions at the amateur level.
Results and conclusions. A more satisfactory state of the cardiovascular system of men involved in volleyball was revealed in comparison with the control group. At the same time, men who play volleyball professionally have a high level of functional indicators. Volleyball can be considered as a type of physical activity for mature men, carried out for recreational purposes.

Keywords: circulatory system, mature men, functionality, volleyball.
