Objective of the study was to increase the level of physical fitness of children 7-10 years old with autism spectrum disorders as the basis for strengthening their health, improving the quality of life and acquiring motor experience.
Methods and structure of the study. Scientific work was carried out in the sports club for special children “Without Borders” in Kirov for 9 months (January-September 2022). The experiment involved 10 children aged 7-10 years with a main diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder of the second group (ASD). The research methods used were: analysis of scientific and methodological literature; medical and pedagogical control; diagnostics of physical fitness and methods of mathematical statistics, where, when analyzing experimental data, the percentage for each physical indicator was calculated, and Student’s t-test was used at a 5% significance level.
Results and conclusions. Systematic physical education classes during the experiment increased the level of physical fitness of students. Processing the results obtained using Student's t-test did not reveal significant differences, however, in percentage terms, the students' results increased. It can be assumed that the use of this method is not informative for children with ASD.
