The influence of motor activity on the psychological health of students

Objective of the study was to identify aspects of the influence of physical activity on the psychological health of students at non-physical education universities.
Methods and structure of the study. A sociological survey and psychodiagnostics of emotional states were conducted, in which 976 first-year and 749 second-year students from the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering, Nizhnevartovsk State University and Industrial University of Tyumen took part.
Results and conclusions. The work analyzes in detail the causes of stress and the timing of adaptation to the educational process among first-year students, evaluates the impact of students’ physical activity on their psychological health, and identifies the level of stress resistance in students depending on the year of study and involvement in physical education and sports. The results of the survey indicate a poor understanding among students and a lack of awareness of the impact of systematic physical activity on a person’s psychological health.
