Objective of the study was to identify the potential of physical education in optimizing the professional development of students in pedagogical areas of training through the formation of stress resistance.
Methods and structure of the study. 305 students of the Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University took part in the experiment; the dynamics of the formation of conditions that make up stress resistance were monitored throughout the entire period of study from the 1st to the 4th year.
Results and conclusions. During the theoretical analysis and logical-analytical comparison, it was revealed that the most effective means of developing stress resistance are sports games. The final results obtained at the final stage of students’ professional development indicate a significant increase in the studied standards. Reflection, emotional stability and organization have approached the creative level of development. Conditions of this level make it possible to use non-standard actions, find original solutions that allow you to achieve your goals with the least expenditure of physical and emotional energy.
