Objective of the study was to substantiate the methodological concept of planning and implementing the training process, taking into account the biorhythms of athletes to increase the performance of a basketball team in competitive activities.
Methods and structure of the study. The experiment used a developed set of exercises that developed the ability to maintain dynamic balance while basketball players were moving and aimed at increasing the efficiency of throws while moving with one hand from above. To perform these exercises, special equipment was used: Bosu hemisphere, BalancePad, Resistance band. The set of exercises was used in training 3 times a week: on Mondays Block “A” was performed – exercises with a Bosu hemisphere, on Wednesdays Block “B” – exercises with a BalancePad, on Fridays Block “C” – exercises in pairs with Resistance band rubber. Also, high school students were offered to perform Block “D” – exercises with a basketball. Each block was performed for 20–30 minutes at the beginning of the training session. To assess technical training, the following tests were used: dribbling the ball “snake” 30 m; shuttle run with ball dribbling 3x10 m; standing throw into the hoop; throw in motion from the shield; passing the ball from the chest to the wall; analyzed the significance of intellectual, physical, emotional components, and also compared the data with the Omega express method of physical condition according to the level of physical and functional condition.
Results and conclusions. An aspect of modern chronobiological science is considered with the possibility of using data on biological rhythms in the training activities of high school students involved in the basketball section. Based on the well-known classifications of biorhythms, a four-block set of exercises was designed and implemented (with a Bosu hemisphere, with a BalancePad, with a Resistance band, with a basketball ball), performed by high school student-athletes individually, in pairs and, in general, aimed at increasing the efficiency of the basketball team in competitive activity, which was confirmed by the experimental work carried out.
