Overview of digital tools effective for application in the educational process of a modern university

Introduction. In the educational process of a modern university, including the University of Physical Culture, many technologies are actively used – information and digital. Therefore, an important aspect is to identify the most effective digital tools and interactive didactic tools that have a primary effect on the modernization of information technologies used in the educational process of a modern university.
The purpose of the study is to identify and substantiate effective digital tools and interactive didactic tools used in the educational process of a modern university.
Methodology and organization of the study. To achieve this goal, a comprehensive analysis of information and digital technologies has been carried out, which should be studied and used by both teachers and students [1]. The research is organized to determine the existing platforms and how to use them for communication (for example, video conferencing) in an online environment; the possibilities of e-mail in educational and professional activities; the effectiveness of online messengers, etc.
The results of the study and their discussion. It is revealed that today cloud storage has become one of the most convenient and effective ways to store data on the Internet. Let's consider a number of them in relation to the educational process of a modern university:
1) Dropbox for a wide range of applications, from Linux standards to MacOSX, Android and iOS;
2) Google Drive offers a wide range of applications and storage for portable devices and desktop computers;
3) Cloud (from Mail), Yandex Disk, MTS-second memory, OpenDrive and AppleiCloud are used to exchange images, music and other files, as well as to synchronize e-mail, calendar contacts, etc.;
4) Evernote Web Clipper will help students and teachers to save web pages of useful research from the Internet in their account [2].
Conclusions. It should be noted a number of nuances that students and teachers should focus on when using digital technologies in the educational process: which search keywords to enter in Yandex, google, or others. search engines; which search results to focus on and use (while avoiding inappropriate or irrelevant sites, advertisements); how to determine which information is reliable, relevant and necessary for students; how to process, synthesize, evaluate and present information; how to compare a number of sources to assess their reliability and relevance; how to correctly quote information from electronic sources, etc.
