Objective of the study was to adapt the components proposed by the federal standard for sports training to the modern realities of training a sports reserve in football, which determine the structure and content of a long-term training process.
Methods and structure of the study. An analysis of the normative and methodological literature on the topic of the study was carried out, as well as a survey of 30 leading specialists and coaches of four football clubs in St. Petersburg.
Results and conclusions. The preparation of a sports reserve in the Russian Federation is regulated by program and regulatory documentation. When organizing a long-term training process, special attention is paid to the Federal Standard of Sports Training for the sport of football, the structural and content sections of which are constantly being improved and supplemented. In this regard, the analysis of the structural and content components of the educational standard allows us to identify the main problems and solutions for the effective adaptation of program and regulatory documentation to the modern realities of training a sports reserve in football.
