Introduction. Endurance, one of the main motor qualities of a person, is manifested in the ability to perform any activity for a long time. The analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature on physical education of schoolchildren shows that the development of endurance carries important educational, health and educational functions, contributes to the improvement of motor activity, improves physical fitness, increases functional indicators, forms significant personal and social, moral and volitional qualities of students [1, 2].
The purpose of the study is to substantiate and experimentally prove the effectiveness of the developed methodology for the use of endurance development tools for primary school age students with the introduction of a continuous method of performing cyclic exercises.
Methodology and organization of the study. For the pedagogical experiment, two groups of schoolchildren were formed identical in their initial indicators in MBOU secondary school No. 17 of Kolomna. In the control group, multiple runs of maximum power distances (30-60 m) were used. In the experimental group, continuous running was used for 6-8 minutes. The place of the means of endurance development in the physical education lesson with children of primary school age is determined: 4.2% in the introductory part of the lesson; in the main part 60%; in the final – 4.3%. The rest of the time is allocated to mastering the technical actions of basic sports: athletics, gymnastics, ski training, outdoor games with elements of sports games. The main components of such a structure are: factor I – functional abilities of the body; factor II – joint mobility; factor III – speed and power abilities; factor IV – strength abilities. A program for the content of physical education lessons for 4th grade students with the predominant use of endurance development tools has been developed: the basic material of the program (76.47%), which includes the study of exercises provided for by the state educational standard; the variable part of the program (23.53%), which includes the performance of endurance development exercises.
Research results and conclusions. The pedagogical experiment showed high efficiency of classes with the use of continuous long-term running for the development of endurance of younger schoolchildren, compared with other experimental groups. The range of endurance development in the experimental group, where continuous running was used for 8-20 minutes, endurance indicators increased by an average of 12.4%; in the control group "A", children ran repeatedly short distances, indicators increased by 6.2%. The results of the study were introduced into the practice of teaching primary school students of MBOU secondary school No. 17. Kolomna.
