Objective of the study was to provide scientific, methodological and expert-analytical support for the system of selection and further support of sports gifted children, taking into account the continuity and sequence of sports training.
Methods and structure of the study. During the experiment, a theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature and documentary sources, content analysis were carried out. An assessment of individual components, an analysis of their mutual influence and expediency of use is shown. The object of the study is approaches to the selection and further support of sports gifted children.
Results and conclusions. The modern dynamics of the development of sports results requires the coach to constantly study and update the level of professional training, search, select and study modern methods available to him in the entire volume and breadth of the results of scientific research by leading scientists of our country.
The transition to the concept of individual development, while the child still retains health, motivation and open age windows for development, is one of the main directions for solving this problem.
