Introduction. During the monitoring of fitness programs, the most correct, gentle and versatile type of fitness was determined - "soft" fitness [1, 2]. The basis of this type is a mix of directions: yoga, fitball, pilates, stretching, callanetics, barre.
The relevance of the study is explained by the constant increase in the number of students with motor disabilities for health reasons, which is an undeniable problem in mastering the full program in the discipline "Elective courses in physical culture and sports". In this regard, it becomes important to use adapted and variable fitness programs for this category of students.
The purpose of the study is to find out the main characteristics of the "soft" fitness technique as a direction in the improvement of students of the special medical group (SMG).
Methodology and organization of the study. The pedagogical experiment was attended by first-year students of SMG (n=26) of the Faculty of Law, who were engaged in the method of "soft" fitness in the framework of training sessions on the discipline "Elective courses in physical culture and sports". The study was conducted throughout the academic year.
The pedagogical experiment was conducted on the basis of complexes according to the method of "soft" fitness and included exercises of a motor-coordination nature; conditioning character; static exercises; stretching exercises and increasing the elasticity of the body.
The structure of the lesson consisted in a strict sequence of blocks: I block – a breathing warm-up using yoga asanas, saturating the body with oxygen, with mandatory stretching, preparing the ligamentous apparatus for serious aerobic and anaerobic physical exertion. Block II is an aerobic part with elements of wellness aerobics. Block III is a versatile low–impact power unit with the weight of its own body or using a fitball. IV block is a hitch based on stretching and breathing exercises.
The results of the study and their discussion. In the course of pedagogical research, the universality and effectiveness of this technique for improving the health of SMG students has been established. The distinctive features characterizing the technique of "soft" fitness are revealed: differentiated load depending on the etiology of the disease; jumping and shock movements are completely excluded, which minimizes injury to the joints and spine; targeted correction of posture disorders is carried out due to the strengthening of the muscular corset.
Conclusions. The practical significance of this study is to increase the activity and motivation of students of a special medical group to regular physical education classes due to the versatility and diversity of "soft" fitness tools. And musical accompaniment during classes has a beneficial effect on the emotional background and mental state of the students.
