Introduction. In the psychological structure of a person's sports culture, reflexive processes of aesthetic perception of sports as a significant socio-cultural phenomenon with a high emotional potential for entertainment and a condition for the formation of aesthetic feelings and needs for the values and ideals of the Olympic movement are of particular importance [1, 2]. The content of the aesthetic component of the students' sports culture (hereinafter referred to as the EXCS) is revealed in relation to those values that evoke a sense of beauty and encourage a person to perceive the beauty of various aspects of sports activity.
The purpose of the study is to theoretically develop and experimentally substantiate the effectiveness of the methodology for the development of EXCS in the process of sports activity.
Methodology and organization of the study. The development of EXCS includes in its content a set of tasks aimed at developing personal reflection on the value-aesthetic perception of sports activities. To determine the level of development of the EXCS, a point-rating scale of expert assessments was developed in accordance with the kinematic and dynamic parameters of the technique of performing competitive exercises, taking into account criteria and indicators of artistic value and harmony of performance.
The results of the study and their discussion. At the beginning of the experiment, there were no significant differences in the criteria and indicators of the development of EXCS in the subjects of KG and EG. At the end of the experiment in KG, the level of development of EXCS remained at an average level. At the same time, a high level of EXCS development was noted in the EG in accordance with the following criteria and indicators of exercise technique: static and dynamic posture; control of body position; dynamics of ordered rhythms; directions, amplitudes and trajectories of movement; speed, acceleration, time, tempo and rhythm of movements, as well as artistic value (beauty, grace, virtuosity, plasticity, originality, elegance) and harmony of performance (symmetry, dynamism, consistency, integrity, proportionality, uniformity).
Conclusion. Thus, the results of the study indicate the effectiveness of the methodology of the development of EXCS in order to form the aesthetic consciousness of students to the values of sports activity and the ideals of the Olympic movement.
