Physical possibilities of young men who started regular boxing training classes

Objective of the study was to evaluate the impact of boxing training on the physical fitness of young men.
Methods and structure of the study. A survey of 29 clinically healthy students of youthful age, who formed two groups, was carried out. The study group (14 people), in addition to lessons in physical education, attended boxing training 3 times a week. The control group (15 people) followed the traditional curriculum. General functional tests were performed at the beginning and end of the observation. The data obtained were processed by correlation analysis and Student's t-test.
Results and conclusions. Systematic boxing training led to a positive dynamics of coordination and increased body stability. Boxing contributed to the growth of the general physical fitness of the trainees while achieving great accuracy of the movements made. Systematic boxing exercises increase coordination among young men, increase the strength and speed of movements, as well as the level of endurance.
