Introduction. The decline in the level of health of students is an urgent problem today, since the quality of training of a future specialist largely depends on the state of health [1]. In this regard, the timely identification of deviations in the functional state of young people is an important aspect in the organization of the educational process of physical education at the university [2].
When determining the functional state of students, it is possible to diagnose the general condition of the body, its reserve capabilities and the adaptive potential of individual body systems.
The purpose of the study is to substantiate the use of the Passport of the functional state of the student in order to assess the quality of the educational process of physical education.
Methodology and organization of the study. On the basis of the Chuvash State Pedagogical University, the software "Passport of the functional state of the student" (certificate of Rospatent, reg. No. 2023614461 dated 01.03.2023) was developed and tested, including the determination of indicators of physical development: anthropometry, dynamometry, values of the cardiorespiratory system and the stability of the vestibular apparatus using generally accepted functional tests and indices. The software made it possible to facilitate the laborious process of processing and comparing the data obtained with normative indicators, as well as to make a deeper and more detailed analysis of the student's health status.
The results of the study and their discussion. The developed software assumes the identification of the initial level of the functional state of students, and also allows monitoring its dynamics during the academic year. The study of the indicators of the functional state of students makes it possible to state changes even in the absence of an increase in the indicators of the level of physical fitness and thereby assess the effectiveness of the means and methods used during the development of disciplines in physical culture and sports. It should also be noted that on the basis of this Passport, the adaptive potential of the student is calculated, which, in the case of his low indicators, allows him to adjust the individual trajectory to increase the level of the functional state of the organism.
Conclusion. The passport of the functional state of the student can be used to establish the general physical condition of first-year students during the entrance control, as well as to act as a tool for assessing the quality of mastering disciplines in physical culture and sports in order to make timely changes to their content and methodological support during the entire period of study at the university.
