Introduction. Theatrical art continues to develop and become more complex, the modern viewer has a great opportunity to choose in spending his leisure time, as a result, making higher and higher demands on theatrical productions. This helps to increase the level of professional training of artists.
According to R.I. Aizman, the psychophysiological features of the organism are understood as "the ability of a person, on the one hand, to improve the quality of functioning of their analyzer systems many times, the properties of the central nervous system and higher nervous activity, and on the other hand, their ability to resist various confounding factors (fatigue, neuropsychiatric stress, etc.), etc.) and maintain the optimal level of functionality for a long time" [1].
The purpose of the study is to identify the psychophysiological characteristics of plastic theater artists aged 19-24 years.
Methodology and organization of the study. The experiment was conducted using a psychophysiological testing device "UPFT-1/30 "psychophysiologist", six artists and a family of plastic theater artists aged 19-24 years took part in it. The results are presented according to the tests rdo (reaction to a moving object), SPMR-SK (complex visual-motor reaction to a light combination) and pzmr-DS (simple visual-motor reaction to the movement of the arrow) [2].
Research results and their discussion. Male artists showed the level of activation of the central nervous system above average values, activation of nervous processes is often associated with the processes of arousal, but at the same time the prevailing reaction rate to the light stimulus was at a very low level. In girls, the level of CNS activation is also more pronounced in marginal averages, one activation of nervous processes is often associated with inhibition processes, and the reaction rate to a light stimulus at the level is very low and low, but somewhat better than in men. Testing showed a significant difference in the prevailing type of reaction to a moving object: for example, in girls this reaction was a lag reaction, and in men it was an advance reaction; as well as in the level of error–free: in girls the level was significantly lower than in men.
Conclusion. The obtained results are the basis for the creation of a data bank on the psychophysiological characteristics of plastic theater artists and in the program of differentiated physical training of plastic theater artists.
