Objective of the study was to analyze the state of the sports infrastructure in the Sverdlovsk region and evaluate its impact on the integrated development of the physical culture and sports industry in the region.
Methods and structure of the study. In the course of scientific work, analysis and synthesis of statistical materials (forms of statistical observation 1-FK), public data of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Sverdlovsk Region for the period from 2010 to 2022 were carried out.
Results and conclusions. It is noted that in the Sverdlovsk region, the greatest demand is observed in football arenas (87.3% of the load) and indoor sports facilities with artificial ice (77.3%), and the least loaded are facilities for shooting sports (53.1%) and biathlon complexes (58.2%). The expansion of the regional sports infrastructure in quantitative and qualitative terms was revealed (the number of facilities increased by 28% in 2022 compared to 2010, and sports facilities in disrepair decreased by 42% in 2022 compared to 2017 G.).
The influence of specialized sports infrastructure on the growth in the number of people involved in basic sports in the region has been established.
