Objective of the study was to identify, on the basis of a comparative analysis of training programs, the distinctive aspects of training football coaches in Russia and China.
Results of the study and their discussion. In the course of a theoretical analysis of information sources on the research problem, such aspects of the educational process of trainers in Russia and China as the creation of a flexible educational program, an increase in the role of mentoring and training based on practice have been identified.
It has been found that coaches advocate decentralized and local programs based on the experience and immediate needs of the clubs, that is, a more practical focus. This should take the form of focused hands-on training, internships, exchange opportunities between coaches, co-education in collaboration with football clubs, as well as competent coaches and updated training programs that place a focus on practice-based learning.
Trainers in both Russia and China need a holistic approach to their training programs. Thoughts on education were highlighted in relation to player development, social aspects and understanding of the game, as well as the fact that modern educational programs place too much emphasis on technical skills.
