Objective of the study was to provide a reasonable correction of the content of innovative approaches to applied training in hand-to-hand combat for operational employees of federal intelligence services and army special forces, taking into account their operational and service functionality.
Methods and structure of the study. To solve the problem of correlating the operational and service functionality of Russian special forces with the development of an appropriate model of applied hand-to-hand training of operational officers, a specific sociological study was organized and carried out using the method of expert assessment. The study involved employees from more than 50 special forces specializing in anti-terrorist, reconnaissance and sabotage, anti-criminal, and military activities.
Results and conclusions. The authors state that, despite the general interest in an innovative approach to the systemic correction of applied hand-to-hand training of the operational level of military personnel and law enforcement officers, they have not formed any ideas about specific criteria. The practice of applied hand-to-hand combat, according to most experts, requires a strategic offensive manner, priority attacking tactics, universal (shock-throw with a predominance of blows), tough technique of situational use of hand-to-hand combat techniques with a decisive focus on the algorithm for solving combat and service tasks.
