Optimization of the process of physical education of university students based on the use of choreographic exercises

Abstract
Objective of the study was to substantiate the effectiveness of choreographic exercises in elective classes in physical culture and sports at a university.
Methods and structure of the study. To solve the tasks set, the following research methods were used: analysis of scientific and methodological literature, the method of studying official documents, pedagogical observation, testing, questioning, methods of mathematical statistics.
Results and conclusions. Analysis of literary sources showed that a significant number of students are not very interested in physical activity, have low motivation for physical education. The educational process in the discipline "Elective disciplines (modules) in physical culture and sports" can include choreographic means, structured in the following sets of exercises for the combination and synthesis of movements with musical accompaniment, elements of classical dance and exercise at the choreographic barre and in the middle, elements folk dance and historical dance, etudes and pantomime, parterre choreography.
The use of choreographic components and elements will increase the motivation and interest of students in physical education, strengthening their health and the formation of universal competencies.
