Objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of vestibular irritation on the cardiovascular system of swimmers with different sports experience.
Methods and structure of the study. The study involved 51 young swimmers (20.1±0.7 years old). Each of them systematically trained two or three times a week for: one year - 17 boys, two years - 18 people, three years - 16 boys. The control group included 20 clinically healthy young men (20.3±0.6 years old) who had not been involved in sports before. The physiological capabilities of the heart and vascular system were determined during vestibular stimulation under conditions of a rotational test. The data were processed by Student's t-test.
Results and conclusions. The implementation of any sports movements, including swimming, requires a high development of the vestibular apparatus, which helps the brain to correct the position of the body in the environment. An increase in the experience of swimming lessons is accompanied by a strengthening of the cardiovascular system and an increase in the capabilities of the vestibular apparatus. The greatest stability of the pulse value was noted in swimmers with a three-year sports experience and the greatest experience in performing sports activities in the aquatic environment at different angles. It is clear that swimming strengthens the system of the heart and blood vessels and forms the basis for its stable functioning in case of vestibular stimulation of any origin.
